Managing High-Friction Engagements: Delivering Strategic Design Solutions Under Operational Constraints

The multi-channel digital and brand optimization initiatives for Mindpower Coaching (Steph and Shay) required a highly disciplined approach to design execution and client alignment. Serving as the primary digital and brand designer during my tenure at TGC Worldwide, my directive was to audit, restructure, and scale their digital footprint across their flagship web platform and extensive social media syndication networks. The primary technical objective was to engineer a cohesive, responsive user interface optimized for high-performance audience acquisition, content streaming, and multi-tiered program enrollment. This required establishing a rigid, component-based design framework capable of organizing an expansive catalog of coaching resources, event promotions, and digital products into intuitive, high-converting user pathways.
My Role
Comprehensive Brand Strategy & Identity
Flagship Web Architecture & UI Design
EPK (Electronic Press Kit) Development
Promotional Reel Creative Direction
Cross-Platform Visual Alignment

Executing this project required navigating an exceptionally volatile, high-friction client engagement that demanded rigorous professional boundary management and adaptive problem-solving. To insulate the production pipeline from shifting directives and unstructured communication loops, I implemented a strict, systematic approach to asset development and technical deployment. Every layout iteration, responsive design token, and social media component was built to meet the highest industry standards of UX architecture and performance engineering. By maintaining a highly formalized, objective workflow under demanding operational conditions, the final digital infrastructure successfully unified the brand's fractured touchpoints, resulting in a production-ready lead-generation framework built to sustain high-volume traffic.
Let's be completely honest: not every portfolio piece comes with a perfect, smooth case study story where the client and the agency ride off into the sunset. The reality of a career in design is that you will eventually encounter highly demanding, high-friction clients who challenge the professionalism of the creative process itself. This project for Mindpower Coaching was exactly that type of trial by fire. When the communication is unpredictable and the ground is constantly shifting beneath you, it is incredibly easy for a project to derail. But as a senior designer, your job isn't just to design when the conditions are perfect; your job is to remain the consummate professional, keep your composure, and pull the project across the finish line through sheer discipline and work ethic.

The design strategy itself had to act as the stabilizing anchor for the entire brand. Steph and Shay have high-energy, intense personalities, and the visual system needed to reflect that motivational spark without looking chaotic or undisciplined. I built a modern, sophisticated aesthetic using commanding typography, sharp visual hierarchies, and strategic whitespace that brought order to an immense amount of content. Even when the feedback loops were messy, the design execution remained flawless. We created sleek web components and an editorial social media ecosystem that gave their coaching empire an undeniable level of elite authority. It’s easy to look good when a project is smooth, but it’s the incredibly difficult, high-pressure jobs you refuse to let fail that truly define your capability and resilience as a designer.
