Home Services Website Solution
Blueprinting an Enterprise Design System for Private Equity Scale

The digital transformation for The Exterior Company (TEC) required a highly sophisticated architectural strategy designed to scale far beyond a singular web presence. Serving as the Senior Designer, my mandate was to engineer an enterprise-grade web platform for TEC that maximized local market acquisition through advanced conversion rate optimization (CRO), search engine optimization (SEO), and granular tracking attribution. However, the overarching business objective was deeply tied to the growth strategy of parent private equity firm Stonebridge Equity Partners. The solution had to be built as a tokenized, modular framework capable of being seamlessly deployed across Stonebridge’s broader portfolio of home service brands.
To achieve this level of cross-brand scalability, I architected the user interface utilizing global design tokens and a strict component-based infrastructure. This allowed for the complete separation of content and core structural mechanics. By standardizing high-performing information architecture, lead-capture patterns, and technical SEO schema layouts, we created a repeatable digital blueprint. This infrastructure was engineered to support deep data-layer tracking and analytics injection out of the box. As a result, Stonebridge Equity Partners gained a powerful, turnkey digital asset that can be rapidly white-labeled, reskinned, and deployed across multiple portfolio sites—slashing future development timelines while guaranteeing a high baseline of performance and conversion integrity.

When tackling the design for The Exterior Company, the challenge was to balance the ultra-clean, high-end aesthetic of a premium roofing and exterior brand with the rigid structural logic required for a multi-site rollout. In the commercial and residential exterior space, trust is everything. Homeowners and commercial property managers need to feel an immediate sense of scale, professionalism, and security the second they land on a page. I moved away from the chaotic, cluttered layouts typical of local contractors and instead introduced a commanding, modern visual system. By utilizing striking photography, bold editorial typography, and a refined corporate color palette, the site projects immediate national authority.
The magic of this design lies in its tokenized flexibility. While the interface looks completely custom and tailor-made for TEC, every layout, button style, and interactive section was built as a reusable component. We carefully mapped out user journeys for high-stress scenarios—like storm damage restoration—and designed intuitive, friction-free conversion zones that guide users naturally toward scheduling an inspection. Because the design system relies on global styling tokens, Stonebridge can take this exact high-converting layout, swap the color tokens and typography for an entirely different portfolio company, and maintain the exact same premium user experience and structural performance. It’s a design that looks beautiful to the user and makes absolute financial sense to the stakeholders.
